Last year I had the pleasure to work on MisBits as a Senior 2D/UI Artist. The game itself is a (some kind of) combat arena game with a strong focus on Multiplayer and Level Creation. You simply start as a toy-head, rolling around and try to attach to a toy-body that features several abilites and skills. The mechanic was pretty interesting and you were also able to steal an opponents body by dashing directly into it. Fast paced action and short play sessions were the essentials of MisBits. It also featured some really fun game modes such as Toyhunter or Kickbrawl, which is nothing else than football!
I jumped on board when the whole UI needed a rework. That included the general style, iconography, layouting and even some 2D vfx sprite animations. Marketing images, enhancing ingame screenshots and creation of steam page hero assets were also under my responsibility.
Most of the mockUps and graphical stuff shown here are the final ones, a few of them are still some WIP images when it comes to layouting and style. Not all of it made it into the Early Access release build. The reason for that is that development was unfortunately stopped quite shortly after its release.
Nevertheless I still hope that one day the game will be back on Steam and even on consoles...so fingers crossed!
